Chef Yoshihiro Murata, who holds seven Michelin stars across three establishments in Kyoto and Tokyo, will open Tokimeite, on Conduit Street on 23 November 2015.
It will be operated by Zen-Noh Group, the business arm of Japan’s largest agricultural cooperative, JA. The restaurant will occupy three floors and seat 70. The group plans to showcase premium Japanese products, from prized wagyu beef to rare whiskey and sake.
It will feature an open kitchen, Josper charcoal oven and open robata grill to gather around while dining. A chef’s table private dining space is also planned for shortly after the opening, later this year. The designer is Osaka-born Yasumichi Morita, whose projects include the two Megu restaurants in New York and Aqua Kyoto in London.
